Who should I contact?
Governors are responsible for the strategic direction of the school e.g. reviewing termly progress and achievement data, having an overview of the whole school approaches to teaching and learning, participating in appointing staff, checking that necessary policies and procedures are in place, that the finances are managed efficiently and that health and safety audits are carried out and any advice followed up.
Any concerns parents may have about the day to day running of the school should be discussed with the class teacher in the first place, or the office staff if it is a financial question, then with the headteacher if the issue has not been resolved. In the event that a parent is still unhappy with the responses they have been given they should then contact the chair of governors.

Any safeguarding concerns or questions should be taken to the headteacher who is the designated safeguarding lead, or, in her absence, to the deputy safeguarding lead. If the concern is about the headteacher then the chair of governors should be contacted.
